In March 2023, Sandisha Juggpall, the Product Specification Specialist at Coba Africa, had the privilege of meeting with Eileen van Greunen in the scenic locale of KwaZulu Natal, Umhlanga. Eileen’s warm and helpful personality left a lasting impression, setting the tone for a productive partnership. During the meeting, Sandisha also had the opportunity to interact with the KwaZulu Natal Team, a diverse and supportive group comprising seven dedicated members.
June 2023 marked a significant milestone for Sandisha as she hosted her inaugural CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Presentation on “The Importance of Entrance Matting and Their Risks” at the Building Centre in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful event was made possible through the invaluable support of the SpechTech Western Cape team, who played a pivotal role in extending invitations to architects across Cape Town.
On July 26th, 2023, Sandisha took her expertise to the Coba Africa Offices in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, where she hosted her second CPD Presentation on the same topic. The Gauteng Team, known for their unwavering support and motivation, once again played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success. This dynamic team is led by the affable Dorianne McKenzie, the Regional Manager, known for her proactive and helpful nature. The Gauteng Team, consisting of Aaliyah Barnes, Chris Le Roux, Zerona Gerber, Ezweni Moyo, Simon Wheeler, Kyle Mocke, Megan Du Preez, Ashley Mitrovich, and led by Dorianne McKenzie, has been instrumental in Sandisha’s journey.
The partnership with Specifying Techniques extends far beyond South African borders. The company’s reach across Africa has allowed Sandisha and her team to collaborate closely with the Namibia Team, including Benny Coetzee and Robyn van Vuuren. Regular discussions between the teams have facilitated the exploration of potential projects where Coba’s entrance matting and other products and accessories can be specified.
In the past six months, with the invaluable support of Specifying Techniques, numerous projects have successfully specified Coba Africa Entrance Matting Systems. Notable projects include Atholl Square, Audi Wonderboom, Garden City Commercial Vehicles in Bloemfontein, and The Pavilion Westville, among others. These achievements underscore the importance of collaboration between industry professionals and the critical role played by Specifying Techniques in advancing the field of Built Environment.
